Curriculum
Professional Development: Focuses on building core skills such as personality development, poise and posture, ethics, hygiene, nutrition, and understanding the history and career paths in cosmetics. It also covers key knowledge on sterilization and sanitation practices.
Facial Techniques: Provides foundational knowledge in facial anatomy and techniques, skin analysis, and treatment selection based on skin type. Includes specialized massages like the Jacquet massage, use of facial equipment, décolletage care, and applications of biological skincare products.
Advanced Facial Techniques: Explores the use of advanced tools like galvanic and high-frequency devices, eye treatments, eyelash and eyebrow tints, and lymphatic drainage techniques. Includes aromatherapy, neck care, enhanced peels, and men’s skincare.
Medical Facial and Skin Care Therapy: Covers advanced skincare treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, LED light therapy, and non-surgical face lifting. The course includes training on medical-grade products, sun protection, pre- and post-treatment care, and demos of specialized procedures like dermaplaning, microneedling, and IPL.
Manicure: Teaches nail anatomy, disorders, and classic manicure techniques, including specialized men’s and French manicures. Advanced treatments such as spa manicures, paraffin wax, hot stone massages, and UV gel nail enhancements are included.
Pedicure: Covers foot anatomy, common foot issues, and standard pedicure procedures, with a focus on spa pedicures, paraffin wax treatments, and hot stone massages.
Make-Up Artistry: Develops skills in color theory, sanitation, and makeup application for various settings, from daytime looks to high-fashion editorials. Topics include corrective techniques, bridal makeup, HD photography makeup, TV and film looks, runway makeup, and introductory special effects (SPFX) makeup.
Treatment of Superfluous Hair: Provides instruction on effective hair removal for the face and body, including strip and hard wax techniques, eyebrow shaping, tweezing, and sugaring methods.
Body Therapy: Focuses on treatments such as relaxation massages, body polishing, back and bust treatments, cellulite reduction, and firming techniques. Includes scalp and hot stone massage methods.
Spa Management: Prepares students to manage a spa by teaching merchandising, marketing, customer relations, and small business practices. It also includes training on the male market, communication skills, resume building, and starting your own business with a focus on social media marketing.
Guest Speakers: Gain insights from industry professionals, medical specialists, technical representatives from skincare brands, and spa owners and managers, offering real-world perspectives and tips for success in the beauty industry.
